Installation and Usage Instructions for Ceramic Fiber Blankets

As a fiber blanket suitable for pipe insulation:

Construction is carried out using the wrapping method: remove the blanket from its packaging (box or bag), unroll it, cut the fiber blanket to match the pipe’s outer circumference, wrap the blanket around the pipe, secure it with thin wire ties, and continue applying layers until the specified thickness is achieved. Finally, apply protective coatings as required, typically using fiberglass cloth, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, galvanized steel sheeting, roofing felt, or aluminum sheeting. Requirements: the wrapped fiber blanket must be tightly secured, with no gaps or seams.

Construction precautions:

*Fiber blankets shall be cut using a straightedge and a sharp knife; do not tear them by force.

*During the installation of fiber blankets, proper protective measures must be taken; stepping on or rolling over them is prohibited.

*During the installation of fiber blankets, appropriate measures should be taken to minimize exposure to rain and other sources of moisture.

The construction method for ceramic fiber blankets used as backing is as follows:

Remove the blanket from its packaging (box or bag), unfold it, and cut it to the required dimensions using a straightedge and a sharp utility knife. Lay the cut blanket flat on the installation surface, then insert the anchors through the blanket and secure them with metal clips. Inspect the workmanship, and continue laying the blankets until the specified thickness is achieved.

Fiber blankets used as wall linings shall be secured with ceramic cups or with metal clips and nuts of the same temperature‑resistance class as the fiber blanket, and care should be taken to avoid exposing metal nuts and clips on the hot face of the furnace.

Requirements: The butt joints between fiber blankets shall be tight. The seams between layers shall be staggered. Flat‑laid fiber blankets shall be compressed in accordance with the design requirements.
